Some background on WTS:

  • The objective of the IEEE World Technology Summits program is to create events that engage Industry with IEEE by serving the needs of Industrial Organizations across Sectors and Geographies.
  • The target community is Product and Service Engineering, where value is created by identifying and addressing common pre-competitive problems faced by management and engineering staff.
  • The core principle for each event is to first convene a group of industry leaders to define the topics and format of the event program based on sector specific technology, operations, and ecosystem requirements. The initial focus is the development of solutions for product and service in areas that face technology challenges best overcome by eliminating common barriers.

The first WTS was in San Jose California on AI Infrastructure: https://attend.ieee.org/wts-2024/
